MILLERSTOWN--James S. Walton Sr., 91, of 103-A Greenwood St. died Wednesday in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
He retired as a laborer from Meiser's Lumber Co., formerly L.L. Hoverter Lumber Co., Millerstown RR 2; attended Juniata County schools; was a Protestant; and a member of Millerstown Fire Company and Ambulance League.
He was the widower of Elizabeth Stewart Weimer Walton. Surviving are a son, James S. Jr., at home; two stepdaughters, Dorothy J. Miller of Newport and Grace P. Erdman of Spring Glen; five grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
