MOTHER OF S.J. NEISES DIED MONDAY AT BEMIDJI
WAS 97 YEARS OLD
Funeral services will be held at S. Ann's Catholic church at Wadena Friday at 9:00 a.m. for Mrs. Catherine Neises, 97 who died at the Bemidji hospital on August 28. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery at Wadena with Monsignor Edward Maowald officiating.
Mrs. Neises was born in Prairie du Chien, Wis. October 23, 1864 and her marriage to Mat Neises took place at Watkins in 1886. Mrs. Neises had lived in Wadena for many years. She recently moved to Cass Lake to make her home with her son, S.J. Neises.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Regina Nelson of Valley City, ND, Mrs. Jos. Henzier and Mrs. Louise Merickel of Wadena and three sons: S.J. Neises of Cass Lake, Matthew Neises, Hudson, Wisconsin and Henry Neises of Rockford, Minnesota.
She is survived by 22 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
One daughter and three sons preceded her in death.
