A native of Lawrenceville, he lived here most of his life.
He was a member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Co.
Surviving, besides his mother, are three sons, Leslie V. Allen Jr., of Missouri, Robert Lloyd Allen of Norfolk, and Ronald Thomas Allen of Virginia Beac h; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Chick of Norfolk, Mrs. JoAnn Jordan of Raleigh, and Mrs. Rose Marie Taylor of Alabama; a brother, Ravannell C. Allen of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Herman H. Mauch. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Bayside, Virginia Beach.
