Guy SMITH, 84, Logansport, former Kewanna resident, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter in Osceola. He had been ill one year.
He was born Aug. 25, 1886, at Bruce lake. His first marriage was to Ethel HALL, who died in 1953. His second marriage was to Edna ZELLERS. She preceded in death in 1970. A retired Studebaker employee, he was a member of the Kewanna Baptist church.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy GINDELBERGER, Osceola; two sons, Donald SMITH, Cambridge, Wis., and Cloyd SMITH, Pacific Palisades, Cal.; a step-son, Wilmer ZELLERS, Long Beach, Cal.; one brother, Milo SMITH, Dixon, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. Don NAFE, Ypsilanti, Mich.; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. One son and one step-son preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kewanna Baptist church. The Rev. Otis STONE and Harlow GUILEY will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Harrison funeral home in Kewanna and at the church one hour prior to services. The family has requested that memorials other than flowers be made to the Kewanna Baptist church.
