Mrs. Ethel Hall Smith

Mrs. Ethel Hall Smith, 228 E. Calvert St., died in her home at 5:15 a.m. today after a year's illness. She was born in 1888 in Colfax, Ind., and came here 35 years ago from Kewanna, Ind. She was married in 1907 in Leiter's Ford, Ind. to Guy Smith. He survives with a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Gindelberger, Osceola; three sons, Donald H., Mishawaka; Cloyd D., Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Richard R., Osceola, and 15 grandchildren. Friends may call in the Hay Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Saturday until servies at 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Sunday the body will be taken to the Community Church, Bruce Lake, Ind. to lie in state from noon until 2 when the servies will conducted by Rev. James Giuley, pastor of Peoples' Church, Elkhart, Ind. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bruce Lake.

SMITH - Pallbearers for the funeral of Mrs. Ethel Hall Smith, 228 E. Calvert St., will be Carl McCay, James McCay, Mervin McCay, Chester Smith, Fred Graffis and George Wilson. Memorial servies will be held in the Hay Funeral Home at 7 p.m. today and the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Community Church, Bruce Lake, Ind. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bruce Lake. Among the survivors are two sisters, Mrs. E.H. Shine and Mrs. Floyd VanMeter, both of South Bend.

Thomas McCOY of Rochester has received word of the death of his niece, Mrs. Guy [Ethel HALL] SMITH of South Bend. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bruce Lake church near Kewanna.
