Young Man Despondent Over Ill Health Takes Own Life
Ben Moore, aged seventeen years, son of Mrs. Frank Moore of the Maurin community, shot himself through the heart with a 45-caliber pistol Friday, Feb. 18, at about 5 p.m. The tragedy occurred at the family home. The young man had been in ill health for some time, being a sufferer from tuberculosis. Despondency over his condition is assigned as the reson for the unfortunate act.
Surviving him are his mother, two brothers Messrs. Andy and William B. Moore, and two sisters, Mrs. Will Kreidler and Miss Burgess Moore all residing here. His father, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. He leaves a number of other relatives.
The funeral takes place this afternoon at 4 o'clock, and interment will be made in the Guadalupe cemetery. The heartfelt sympathy of this entire section goes out to the family in their deep bereavement.
