A native of Ocilla, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Curthbert and Clara Connor Bass Porch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bennor, who died in 1976. She was contract registered nurse with the United States Navy. After retiring she worked with the Central of Georgia Railroad.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacquelyn Bennor Patrick of Asheville; two grandchildren, John Lee Patrick Jr. and his wife, Cleta, and Jacquelyn "Vickie" Tobias and her husband, Ray; a great-grandson, John Lee Patrick III; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon, GA.
