On October 5, 1938 she was united in marriage to William M. Lewis. A marriage of 62 years. He preceded her in death March 12, 2004.
Marguerite enjoyed camping, sewing, crocheting, and having family gatherings. She had a talent for cake decorating, making beautiful cakes for special occasions, especially the 2-3 tier wedding cakes.
She and husband Bill had a passion for fresh vegetables so for years their beautiful gardens were a delight to see and enjoy.
Surving are daughters, Susan A. Fairchild and Theresa H. Coss; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gertrude C. Green and Martha G. Clark; and several special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William M. Lewis; son, Martin Lewis in 2001; grandson, Paul Lewis in 2009; sister, Gladys L. Clark in 2010.
Marguerite will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00-1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral services will be at the Chapel of Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice
