Miss Zona Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Young of this city, died at the family home here Sunday. She had been brought home from San Antonio only the day before and her death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held Monday morning by Rev. Don O. Covington with internment being in the City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: D. M. Nichols, W. H. Radford, Otto Thiele, Noah Davis, Elie Nichols and Clyde Copeland.

Miss Young was born near Kenedy, September 23, 1897 and moved with her family here in 1911. She united with the Baptist Church here in 1920 and had lived a sweet and cheerful Christian life.

She is survived by her parents, three sisters: Mrs. Leo Kieler, San Antonio; Mrs. W. A. Donnell, Kenedy; Mrs. Frank Brockman, Gillett, and four brothers: G. E. Young, Cisco; W. R. Young, Falfurrias, B. B., and D. P. Young, Kenedy.
