Franklin County Man burns to Death as Oil Can Explodes.

Trying to make a fire with coal oil, Mack Davidson, 36, farmer on the Galt Ranch northwest of town, was burned fatally and his home and $40 in paper money destroyed early Monday morning. His 14 year old daughter aslo was severely burned trying to extinguish the flames on her father's clothing.

The can of oil exploded, drenching him with the flaming liquid and he died soon afterward in a hospital. The money came from the sale of turkeys Saturday. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs J.R. Davidson and wife, five children, two brothers and two sisters of Nelta, Hopkins County. Burial will be at Nelta Tuesday.
