John Wynn Davidson, 83, of 130 N Locust St died at 1:30am Friday in Memorial Hospital.
The retired farmer had resided in Sulphur Springs for the past nine years where he was a member of the Jefferson Street Church of Christ.
Mr Davidson was born Jan 13, 1892 in Ellis County to James R and Jo Skidmore Davidson.
Survivors include his wife the former Colela Powell, four sons, Clyde Sears of Dallas, J.W. and Mervis Davidson of Lone Oak, and Bruce Davidson of Houston; a daughter, Mrs Wanza Van Dyke of Tahoka; two sisters, Mrs Mary Stapp and Mrs Fannie Flippin of Sulphur Springs;one brother, Jim Davidson of Lubbock; 11 grandchidren and 13 great grand children. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Mack Davidson and Mrs Ruth Hargrave.
Funeral services will be at 3pm Saturday in the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with F.I. Stanley officiating. Interment in the Nelta Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Murray Dawson, Ray Moore, Arnold Moore, L.B.Kiker, Dennis Dawson and Hurshell Stevenson.
