Ada Bell Sparks, 86, died early Thursday at Brown's Nursing Home after a long illness. The Candler County native had lived most of her life in Statesboro, was a homemaker and a member of Gracewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Buford Sparks, Sylvania, Garnett Sparks, Sardis, and Kenneth Sparks, Odom; one daughter, Jeannette Lee, Statesboro; one brother, Elton Lamb, Ellabell; one sister, Mary Daley, Garden City; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. carl Ledbetter and the Rev. Wayne Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
