Walter R. Lamb Sr., 83, died Thursday
at home after a long illness.
He was born in Candler County and
was a retired carpenter. He was a member
of the,Local 256 for more than 40
years.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle Lamb
of Pooler; a daughter, Dorothy Dixon of
Ravenal, S.C.; a son, Walter R. Lamb Jr.
of Pooler; two sisters, Mary Daley of
Garden City and Ader Bell Sparks of
Statesboro; a brother, Elton Lamb of
Ellabell; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren;
and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Masscy
Chapel Funeral Home, burial in Hillcrest
