George E. Hoffine, age 72, of Lake Ann died Saturday after a lingering illness.
Mr. Hoffine was born in Wayne county, Ohio, April 4, 1856, where he spent his boyhood days, l
ater moving with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Solomon Hoffine, to Reed City. He was united in mar
riage to Anna Benzing in 1888, residing in Reed City about 16 years, then locating on a far
m near Traverse City. In 1910, with his family he moved to Lake Ann which had since been the
family home.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Anna Hoffine, he leaves to mourn their loss, two sons, Floyd of Flint and Harvey of Cleveland, two daughters, Mrs. Alice Ansorge of Cedar, and Mrs. Alta Bare of Flint, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Barber of Lake Ann.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the H.L.Weaver Home, Rev. D.B
Moore of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be made in Oakwood Cemetery."
