Age 82, died Sunday, December 25, 1983, at Kith Haven. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 28, 1983, at First United Presbyterian Church, Dr. Donald C. McFerren officiating. Cremation at Flint Memorial Park. Friends desiring may make contributions to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Mr. Hoffine was born in Hersey, Michigan, November 3, 1901 and had been a resident of Flint since 1924 coming from Lake Ann, Michigan. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Bishop Class of the Church, former member of the Pierce Center Men's Chorus and the "Remember When Club". Mr. Hoffine retired from Buick Motor Division in 1965 with over 30 years of service. After retirement he served as School Traffic Officer at Walker School. Surviving are: wife, Carolyn Hoffine; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Linda Hoffine of Flint; daughter, Bonnie Cheney of Lansing; sister, Alta Bare of Grand Blanc; 2 grandchildren, Kelly and George Douglas Hoffine of Flint; 1 niece; 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Hunt Hoffine in 1941. Arrangements by Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, 901 Garland St.

Both Floyd and Carolyn died on Christmas Day.
