The second child and eldest daughter of Edward and Franziska (Kamrath) Gross.

Sadly, Her only brother Herbert died in Feb. 1911 (age 12) when Irma was 10 years old.

Irma graduated from West Allis High School in June 1919.

Irma, 19, married Edward L. "Ted" Gollop (b. 1897 in United Kingdom) in Muskego on Oct 23, 1920. The Gollop's had one daughter, Geraldine Frances, born Oct. 27, 1924. The family resided at 1459 S. 72nd St. in West Allis.

Her husband became a U.S. citizen in Nov. 1920.

Her mother Frances died on Aug 1, 1931 from injuries after being hit by a car.

Irma and Ted enjoyed vacationing in Florida. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in Oct. 1970.

Irma's daughter and husband both died in early 1973, Irma died four years later at age 76. She is buried beside her husband and daughter. Her sister Neoda also preceded her in death (1975). She was survived by two grandsons John (Robin) Sievila (b. 1950) and Terry Sievila (b. 1954). Also survived by nieces and nephews and by cousins from both her mother's and father's side.

Note: Her first great-grandson, Andrew Sievila, was born after her death in Feb. 1982.
