HEART FAILURE CAUSES DEATH OF ALEX S. KUHN.
Stricken Suddenly While at Residence on Bres Avenue.
Another well known Monroe resident passed suddenly in the death of Alex S. Kuhn, at his home, 309 Bres avenue, yesterday morning, at 6 o'clock. Death was due to heart failure.
Mr. Kuhn, who was 56 years of age, was at his place of business, the Monroe Plumbing Company's offices, at 247 South Grand street, as usual on Saturday. He retired as usual on Saturday night.
Before daylight, yesterday, he was seized with sudden illness and a physician was summoned. He died a short time after the physician's arrival at 6 o'clock.
Mr. Kuhn was the son of the late Sam Kuhn and related to one of the pioneer Jewish families of this vicinity. He was highly regarded and his death is a blow to many friends.
The death of Mr. Kuhn recalls the death, on June 25 last, of his brother Abe Kuhn, who died almost instantly, of similar heart seizure.
Alex Kuhn is survived by the widow and four brothers and one sister. These are Gus Kuhn, Lee Kuhn, Lazarus Kuhn; Nathan Kuhn, and Mrs. J. S. Block.
The funeral services are to be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Block, 215 Hudson lane. Dr. Carl Schorr will officiate and the burial will be in the local Jewish cemetery.
