Delores Marie Parker Hymas

Born December 10, 1902 in Clinton, Utah to Daniel and Pearl Taylor Parker.

Passed away Sept 11, 2002, peacefully, comfortable, and warm at Cottonwood Hospital. She was married to John A. Bever, later divorced. Married Rulon Hymas, June 20, 1935, and shared 67 loving years with him.

She graduated from East High School and was valedictorian of her class. During her life she loved to tat and crochet and did beautiful work. She was asked by the bishop of the Valley Park 5th Ward if she would crochet an alter-cloth for a ward assignment. She was very happy to do this. She was told her work was so beautiful that this alter-cloth would be placed in the Salt Lake Temple. She also crocheted dresses for dolls and gave many of them away. She received an award at the State Fair for her doll dresses. She enjoyed bowling and was the secretary/treasurer of several leagues. A fall resulting in back surgery ended her bowling days. She and Rulon often sang in harmony together and had beautiful voices. They enjoyed traveling and camping in their fifth wheel.

Survived by her husband, Rulon; sons and daughters, Jack (Arlene) Hymas, St. George, UT, Peggy Walker, Lakewood, CO, Jean (Ed) Smith, Taylorsville, UT, Robert (Sue) Hymas, Herriman, UT; brothers, Don Parker, Salt Lake City, UT, Roy (Alice) Parker, Denver, CO; sister, Elaine Baumann, Taylorsville, UT; many grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren.
