William "Bill" Bass
William "Bill" Bass, 66, of 712 East 5th died Jan. 17, 1993, at Veterans Hospital, Columbia, Mo.
He was born May 31, 1926, at Shannon County, Mo., the son of Noble A. and Pearl Lee Hunt Bass. A longtime Hutchinson resident, he was a self-employed sheet rocker, retiring in 1987.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On April 17, 1985 he married Joyce Stoughton at Enid, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Talya Ann Bass, of the home; five brothers, Dusty Bass, Medora; Bob Bass, Dean Bass, Hugh Bass and Jack Bass, all of Hutchinson; and three sisters, Maxine Edwards, Hutchinson, Gwennell Nichols, Dallas, and Judy Cummins.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, wtith Pastor Willard D. Stafford presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson.
