She was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Naylor, Mo., the daughter of Noble A. and Pearl Lee Hunt Bass. She was a homemaker.
On July 29, 1944, she married James L. Edwards in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 17, 2001.
Survivors include: three sons, James II, and John, both of Hutchinson, and Jeffry, Larned; three daughters, Marquetta Copeland, Deland, Fla., Juanita Thurston, Houston, and Carol Pfister, Radium; three brothers, Jack Bass, Hugh Bass, and Bob Bass, all of Hutchinson; two sisters, Gwin Nickels, Hutchinson, and Georganna Bass, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Bill, Dusty, and Dean Bass.
There will be no services. Interment will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
