and his wife Nancy, came from Virginia
to Preble County Ohio "about" 1803,

and Van Buren Counties, Michigan").

some of his 12 siblings from Preble
County Ohio, to Portage Prairie, in
Section 22 of Warren township,
(North of South Bend),
St. Joseph County Indiana in 1833.

Nathaniel was elected a county
commissioner in St. Joseph County,
Indiana in 1864 and 1867.
He was also the Vice President of
the St. Joseph County [Indiana]
Agricultural Society ["about" 1867].

Nathaniel lived in Missouri in 1860,
and then in Warren township,
St. Joseph County Indiana when
his first wife Jane died in 1866
(and also, in the 1870 census).
He later lived at 180 Washington
Street, in South Bend,
St. Joseph County Indiana.

Note: Nathaniel had a "possible" cousin
also named Nathaniel Frame, born in 1820
in Indiana, and lived in St. Joseph
County Indiana, who was the son of
William Frame (brother of Jesse Frame Sr.?).

SUDDEN DEATH
Our citizens were surprised to hear of
the death of Nathaniel A. Frame, brother
of Isaac Frame, which took place at his
residence in the Fourth Ward, at midnight
Thursday. Mr. Frame moved into the city
from South Warren township about a week
ago. On Wednesday he was seized with a
congestive chill and died in less than
thirty-six hours afterward. He was about
sixty years old. His funeral will take
place from the Dunker church [later known
as the Portage Prairie Church] in German
township, this forenoon at eleven and a
half o'clock. The deceased was one of our
oldest residents.
