Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Hill Air Force on his 55th birthday. He belonged to the LDS Church. He loved sports and he went to the U of U basketball games and was a Crimson Club member.
He is survived by his brothers, William C. (Doris) Atkinson, Bountiful, Frederick R. Atkinson, John R. Atkinson, both Los Angeles, Richard R. (Judy) Atkinson, Salt Lake; sister-in-law JoAnn Atkinson, West Valley; many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1160 East 4580 South. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South Sate St.
