"Carl Vernon Brooks passed away June 30, 1998 after a long illness.

Vernon was born October 1, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edwin Uriah and Catherine LaVerne Johnson Brooks. He married Fern Hadlock on March 30, 1936. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his loving wife; son, ....; eight grandchildren ....; 11 great-grandchildren, ....; five step great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild, ...; many nieces and nephew; one brother, Edwin Brooks, Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Elaine .... Preceded in death by parents; six brothers and sisters; daughter ... and husband ...; and two grandchildren, ....

Retired from Lake Hills Memorial Park as sales manager in 1978.

The family would like to give special thanks to Margy Campbell and Abbott Critical Care and Janice Nelson from C.N. Services and all relatives and friends who have been so supportive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 12 noon at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 So. State, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call on Monday evening at Lake Hills Mortuary 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Mortuary prior to services. Interment at Lake Hills Memorial Park."
