"Edwin Brooks, 49, of 323 Vincent Court, shot to death in th Union Pacific Yards Monday night by a special officer, will be buried in the City Cemetery tomorrow, following funeral services at 12:15 p.m. in the Kingdon & Lees Mortuary Chapel, 255 South Second East Street.
He as born here June 12, 1887, a son of John and Esther Rushton Brooks.
His parents, his widow, Mrs. Laverne Johnson Brooks, and five children, all of Salt Lake City, survive him: Edwin E., John, Vernon, Wayne and Elaine Brooks; also the following brothers and sisters; Irene Brooks, Salt Lake City; John and Wilford Brooks, Mrs. Esther Morey and Mrs. Dora Doble, all of Los Angeles."
