Janie A. Lee, 81, 3419 Airline Ave., died at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 1984, in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born Oct. 17, 1903, in Ravenden Springs, Ark., daughter of Larkin and Mary Brown. Lived 31 years in Rockford coming here from Lepanto, Ark. Married to Fred Lee in Paragould, Ark., April, 1934.

Member of Landmark Mission Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Carol Curtright, Wichita, Kan., Velma Andrews, Winnebago, Mary Light, Arlington, Tex., Sue Warmoth, Winnebago, Carol Wear, Rockford, Linda Hullinger, Winnebago; three stepdaughters, Juanita Dye, Loves Park, Christeen Andrews, Rockford, Lucile Davis, San Francisco, Cal.; a son, Eugene Tanker, Rockford; a stepson, Hubert Lee, Bald Knob, Ark.; a brother, Earl Brown, Tuckermann, Ark.; 40 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband on Jan. 5, 1983.

Services at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 1984, at DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME LTD., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with the Rev. Eugene Garner, pastor of Landmark Mission Baptist Church, officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
