Funeral services will be conducted in the family home this afternoon at 3 o'clock and the burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
He was born in North Carolina Oct. 3, 1853. He had made his home near Decatur for 13 years. He leaves his wife and five children, Mrs. Lavine Maddox, Centralia, Joseph, John and Stanford Boggs of Decatur, Mrs. Ollie Denbo of Macon, his brothers, Peter Boggs of Dix, Ill, James Bogg of Hood River, Ill, William L. Boggs, Bement, his sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Hartley, Walnut Hill,Mrs. Rose Topping, Salem and Mrs. Martha Burge, Decatur.
