WILKINS - Mrs. Inez Wilkins was born in Lincoln County, Kansas to George Leonard and Martha Ann Hollingsworth Rice, on September 22, 1880.
She was married to Harry Clinton Miller in Siloam Springs, Ark., on January 7, 1903 and to this union four children were born. One child, Cleo Lillian, died in infancy and on August 2, 1909 Mr. Miller died.
On June 15, 1920 she was married to Frank Wilkins and to this union one son was born, James Howard Wilkins. Frank Wilkins passed away in March of 1943.
Mrs. Wilkins passed away on Nov. 18, 1967 in the hospital at Bloomington, Ind., after a lingering illness. She had a heart attack in September which left her in a weakened condition. At the time of her death she was 87 years and two months old.
She had moved to Bloomington, Ind., in 1951. She had been a member of a Chariton church and remained faithful to her faith in Christ Jesus. She joined the Methodist church in Bloomington after moving there. She was also a member of the Rebekah lodge for 50 years.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Marie (Harry G.) Day of Bloomington, Ind., two sons, Harry C. Miller of Bismarck, N.D. and James Howard Wilkins of Fayetteville, Ark., on sister, Mrs. Bess Wishart of Long Beach, Calif., 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were conducted by the Rev. E. J. Berreth at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1967 at the Beardsley-Fielding funeral home. Interment was at the Chariton cemetery.
