Funeral services were held at the Walker Funeral Home and the Presbyterian church here this Monday afternoon for Leo R. Miller, 47, who died at his home here Saturday morning.

The Rev D.C. Davis conducted a public service at the church at 2 pm and a short service for the family and two lodges of which he was a member at 1:30. Burial was in the Clarinda cemetery.

Mr Miller had been in failing health since July, 1949, when he was involved in an automobile accident in Nebraska. Injuries suffered in the accident aggravated anemia and ultimately resulted in his death. He was a steamfitter until ill health forced him to give up that trade and he has operated the Vapo Baths here since then.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Masonic lodges here and was active in the Clarinda Rabbit & Cavey Breeders' association. Mr Miller was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving Mr Miller are: his wife, Bernice; a daughter at home, Joy Ann; his mother, Mrs Inez Wilkins; a brother, Harry C. Miller of Bismark, ND; a sister, Mrs Marie Day of Bloomington, Ind; and a half-brother, James H. Wilkins of Council Bluffs. CLARINDA HERALD-JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, Feb 12, 1951
