Surviving are two daughters, Bernadine (Bunny) Driggers and Rose (Polly) Harmon, both of Summerville; a son, Czernie (Bud) Driggers, Jr. and his wife Diane of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Karen Driggers, Nancy Driggers, Tammy Harmon, Alana Harrawood and husband James, Jessica D. Cokins and husband Tom, Megan Driggers, Mickey Harmon. Great grandchildren, Evie Driggers, Tony Harrawood, Samantha Chubb, Maggie Harrawood; a foster granddaughter, Nichole Kovacek; a sister, Doris M. Todd of Eutawville, two sisters-in-laws, Nattie Lee Owens and husband David, and Bergetta Drigers.
Jurene Elizabeth "Maggie" Mills Driggers, 79, of Summerville, SC, a retired floor supervisor for the Summerville Dress Company, died Tuesday evening at the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center.
The funeral will be 3:00 PM Friday afternoon, April 11, 2008, in the Salem Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Thursday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 321 Old Summerville Rd., Summerville, SC 29483.
Mrs. Driggers was born July 1, 1928, in Macedonia, SC, a daughter of Jessie Randell Mills and Sue Brinson Mills. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and worker for the Summerville Dress Company for 25 years. Mrs. Driggers was the widow of Czernie Driggers, Sr.
