Bernadine Driggers, 63, of Summerville, widow of Melton Driggers died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 at Salem Baptist Church, Summerville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit at the church from 6 until 9 this evening. Mrs. Driggers was born December 30, 1945 in Berkeley County, a daughter of the late Czernie Driggers, Sr. and Jurene Mills Driggers. She was a graduate of schools in Berkeley County. She was a Berkeley County School Bus Driver and a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Lynn Driggers and Nancy Elizabeth Driggers both of Summerville; one granddaughter, Evelyn "Evie" Driggers of Summerville; one brother, Czernie "Bud" Driggers, Jr (Dianne) of Ridgeville; one sister, Rose "Polly" Harmon of Summerville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
