Mildred I. "Mil" Rashid, 95, of Atkinson passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Kewanee Hospital.
Mil was born on April 26, 1911, in Galva, Ill., the daughter of Archie and Teckla (Lindberg) Breese. She was united in marriage to Floyd Rashid on Sept. 23, 1956, in Wyoming, Ill.
Mil assisted her husband, Floyd, in the ownership & operation of Rashid's Grocery Store in Atkinson for 35 years, from which they retired after selling the business.
She enjoyed baking, going for coffee and her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd; one daughter, Kay Arganbright, Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Elliott Breese, Chillicothe, Ill.; and one sister, Evelyn Williams, Chillicothe, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jay Arganbright, and one brother, Bob Breese.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Atkinson.
