Funeral Services For Archie Breese Will Be Held On Friday

Archie Breese, 70, for a number of years a resident of Wyoming, died in the Cox ambulance en route to St. Francis hospital in Peoria about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Death was due to coronary thrombosis. He had been in ill health for a short time but death was unexpected.
The son of Hole Osborn and Belle Gage Breese, he was born in Dunlap April 17, 1882. His schooling was received in Dunlap, after which he spent a number of years in the west, returning to Illinois when he was about 18.
He was united in marriage to Teckla Lindberg of Kewanee in Moline January 1, 1910. They lived in Kewanee for about five years, after which they moved to Wyoming for several years.
They then resided on a farm near Galva where he engaged in farming also working at Caterpillar in Peoria, where was employed for a total of 14 years. After about five years there they farmed in the Duncan and Stark communities about five years, then moved back to Wyoming where they have since resided.
For the past 12 years he has driven a Wyoming Community high school bus as well as engaging in the lawn mower sharpening and repair business.
He was elected alderman from the third ward of Wyoming at the city election in 1951 and was serving his first term on the council at the time of his death. He was a member of the Wyoming IOOF lodge. He and his brother, Louis Breese of Peoria are the last of a family of nine children.
He is survived by his wife; a brother, Louis of Peoria; two sons, Elliot of Peoria and Robert of Speer; two daughters, Mrs. M. D. Arganbright of Toulon and Mrs. Don Miller of Wyoming and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Congregational church Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Prospect cemetery in Dunlap
