In 1925, he married Mary Sharp, from San Augustine. She died in 1986 and she too is buried in the San Augustine City Cemetery. There were no children of the marriage.

He went back to Texas A&M and graduated in Vet medicine. In 1925, he married Mary Sharp, d 1986 of San Augustine. They now reside in Abilene, Texas where he has retired from vet medicine and ranching and wholesale medical supplies. They have no children.

After he graduated from Texas A&M he went into the Army. After the Army, he went to Mexico where he acquired many acres of land, which the Mexican government ended up confiscating from him after the war. He studied to be a veterinarian.
In Abilene, Texas he acquired a good bit of property and practiced as a vet on large animals. He married Mary Blount?? of Nacogdoches, Texas. Their marriage was happy but childless. In his will, he remembered all his brothers and sisters.
NOTE: Not sure where Bessie got Mary Blount from... he married a Mary Sharp who is buried in the San Augustine City Cemetery.
