Info. from Findagrave member, Cherie Officer, The Buffalo (NY) Courier, Thursday, May 26, 1909 Page 2, The Bolivar (NY) Breeze, Thursday, June 3, 1909 Page 2 and The Bradford (PA) Star, Thursday, June 3, 1909. William was killed due to a Nitroglycerine explosion while on the job in Howard, PA (about 5 miles south of Bradford, PA) He had been employed by the Dupont Chemical Company. Also killed in the accident was Daniel Bradt, age 45, who lived in Bullis Mills, PA. William also lived at Bullis Mills and had just married in April (name not given). He was survived by his parents (names not stated), two brothers, John of Bradford and Henry of Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Mrs. A.F. Sikes of Portville and Mrs. W.A. Andrews of Buffalo, NY.
