Mr. A. D. Eglin, 76, passed away July 13 at 3:00 p.m. at his Grayson residence after a long illness. Funeral services were held July 14, at 2:30 p.m. at the Grayson Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. G. A. LaGrange officiating, assisted by Rev. W. H. Carroll, pastor of the Wisner Methodist Church.

Mr. Eglin was born in Spencer, Ohio, April 30, 1870 and was married to Miss Maud Baker October 25, 1892 and came to Shreveport, La., in 1900 and later to Grayson in 1930 where he made his home and made his profession as a timber estimator up until his failing health compelled him to retire.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. J. J. McKeithen, Sr., and Mrs. Clyde Johnston of Grayson; Four sons, Richard Eglin of Alexandria, Eddie Eglin, Grayson, Milton Eglin, Van Horn, Texas and Billy Eglin, Columbia; two brothers, R. B. Eglin, Shreveport, and Rev. William H. Eglin of Youngstown, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: W. R. Broadway, W. R. Humphries, J. W. McKeithen, W. O. McKeithen, Tom Hendrix and A. D. Bridger.

Interment was made in Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.
