Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chisholm, with Fr. Jon Wild celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Morcom Cemetery, Bear River. Arrangements by Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Chisholm.
Merideth June Krier, age 59, of Chisholm, died Tuesday, August 13, 2002, in Fairview University Medical Center - Mesabi in Hibbing.
She was born July 14, 1943, in Hibbing to Howard R. and June M. (Haury) Rein. She was a 1961 graduate of Alango High School and had been a Chisholm resident since 1971.
Merideth was united in marriage on March 12, 1966, in St. Cloud, MN to John Joseph Krier. She worked as a cook at Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm and also as a self-employed caterer for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church-Chisholm and the Women of the Moose-Chisholm Chapter #876.
She enjoyed being with and loved her children and grandchildren and was well known for her great cooking.
Survivors include her daughters - Roxanne June Groebner of Sauk Rapids, MN and Elizabeth Grace (Ilyas) Shaikh of Maple Grove, MN; grandsons - Joshua Charles Groebner and Jacob John Groebner; granddaughter - Yasmine Grace Shaikh; mother - June Rein of Bear River; brother - Howard "Butch" (Vicki) Rein of Bozeman, MT; sisters - Cheryl (Leonard) Lokken of St. Cloud, Rebecca (Carl) Dahlberg of Eagan, MN, Christine (Dennis) Moberg of Eden Prairie, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and by her loving husband John on 7/30/00.
