He was a self-employed painter and paperhanger.
Balboa died Sunday. He was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and came to San Antonio when he was 9 years old. "One of the most memorable occasions in his life was becoming a naturalized American citizen." said his daughter Celia of Madison Hgts., MI." "This was in Detroit in 1978 when he was 71 years old and was visiting us. He had wanted to become a citizen for a long time, and it was his daughter , Perla who helped him accomplish this, " she said.
