Lois Roper, 98, of Pueblo, passed away Jan. 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her great-nephew, whom she adopted as her son, Capt. Eddie C. Rhodes; Eddie C Rhodes and siblings, Raye, Joy and Dean. Lois is survived by her daughter-in-law, Vicki Carlton Rhodes; and siblings, Virgil and Carroll Jacobs; also many nieces and nephews. Lois was an avid bowler up until she was over 90 years old. She worked at the Pueblo Army Depot during World War II and as a sales clerk in many local clothing stores including Montgomery Wards and Fashion Bar. She will be missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
