Betty Washington (Lewis) Lovell, in her 70th year, formerly of Charleston, Virginia, died on July 2, 1866, at the residence of John Hall in Marietta, Ohio.

She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth "Betty" Washington Lewis (1733-1797), a sister of General Washington.
