Funeral services for Mrs. Jerry (Marian) Kuper, 70, of Osage were 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at the United Church of Christ in Osage. Burial in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Kuper died Wednesday, April 11 at her home.

Marian Grace Aukes Kuper was born January 18, 1914, in Grundy County at her parent's farm home. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Florence Aukes of Wellsburg. She was baptized and confirmed at Pleasant Valley Church and received her education at a rural country school.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Kuper on July 3, 1931 at the parsonage in Ackley.

Marian was active as a Sunday school teacher for many years, served as president of her ladies guild at church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the West Friesland Presbyterian Church near Ackley, later becoming a member of the First Congregational Church in Osage in 1949.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Frances) Meinders of Dumont and Beverly Hanson of Salem, Oregon; three sons; Melvin of Addison, Illinois and Gary and Myron both of Osage; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene (Mrs. Ray Evert) of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Iva Mae, (Mrs. Chuck Terry) of Silver Dollar City, Missouri, and one brother, Harm of Wellsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; a son, Vernon; a baby daughter and two grandchildren.
