Harm D. Aukes, 79, of Parkersburg, formerly of Wellsburg, died Sunday, January 7 at Allen Hospital, Waterloo of natural causes.

Survivors include his wife, Lena; three sons, Roger of Lucas, Clarence of Parkersburg, and Harold of Wellsburg; three daughters, Karen Shelton of Cedar Falls, Linda Bachman of Riverside, Mo, and Cathy Groen of Parkersburg; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorene Evert of mesa, Az, and Iva Terry of Kimberling, Mo.

He was preceeded in death by two sisters, marion Kuper and Lois Bakker; and two granddaughters.

Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Parkersburg with burial in Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Wellsburg.

Mr. Aukes sang with the Silver Beavers in Parkersburg.
