born: August 1, 1839 near Canandagua, New York, died: March 30, 1924 @ 9 a.m. @ her daughter's home, Mrs. O. D. Hawley of Hesperia, Oceana County, Michigan. Eliza A. Frances married April 3, 1877 @ Peryon, New York. They had 7 daughters and 1 son; all survive except son Ernest Eugene who died September 17, 1878 @ 16 months of age. Surviving: daughters Rachel A. Hawley of Hesperia, Ffrances D. Murman of Maple Range, Michigan, Addie J. Cargill of Hart, Carrie E. Stephenson of Albany, Oregon, Fflorence M. Royle of Maple Range, Michigan, Maud E. Carpenter of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Bertha M. Giddings of Muskegon, Michigan. There were 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 half brother and 1 half sister….all gone to their great reward except John Francis of St. Louis, Michigan and Clark Francis of Geneva, New York. October 12, 1865 moved to a farm near Grand Rapids, Michigan where they lived for 2 years and then moved with a team of Ox to there future farm on Maple Range, Oceana County, Michigan. They built a log house, lived there 40 years until the fall of 1903 where she moved to Hesperia until 1913.
