Mrs. Marian Stephens, 39, Dowagiac, Michigan, died Monday at 6:00 AM in the Epworth Memorial Hospital, South Bend, following an illness of one year.
Mrs. Stephens was born in Liberty Township in Wabash County, Indiana to Ray and Mary (Swaney) Whitcraft. She was married in 1933 to Dalton Stephens in South Bend where they had lived for 15 years before going to Dowagiac about a year and a half ago.
Survivors include the parents of Lincolnville, the husband, two children, Wilma and Bobby, at home; three brothers, Robert, Lincolnville, James, Muncie, and Charles, Wabash. One sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Epworth Methodist Church, South Bend. The church is located on the corner of Olive Street and Lincoln Way.
Husband Dalton is buried in Dowagiac, Michigan.
