Pete LeRoy Vine, 64, Sheridan died Wednesday, May 11, 1988 at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Arrangements are pending with Champion Funeral Home.
He lived all his life in this area.
Born June 25, 1923, in Monarch to John M. and Lillian Eslick Vine, he served in the Navy in World Wasr II and worked as a self-employed carpenter.
Mr. Vine enjoyed jewelry-smithing, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Charles, and Ernest, and a sister, Anne K. Vine.
Suvivors include a son, Michael Baker, Moosejaw, Conn.; a daughter, Diane Massey, Rockford, KY; rwo sisters, Rose Parsons, Sheridan, and Ethel Thomnpson, Willow Wood, Ohio; four brothers, Robert, and Henry, both of Sheridan, Ed, Ogden, Utah, and Jim, Heron, Mont.; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Services are 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, the Rev. Ray Clark officiating, with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
