Jane had a unnamed daughter born to her and they died 9 days apart, Jane dying on the 9th of September 1844, and the unnamed daughter died on the 18th of September 1844.Jane was fondly called "Jensie" and sometimes Gennie", Olive Kaune at the time of writing this, did not know much about the family, as they lived in New Douglas, Illinois.

Jackson Vollintine served in the Black Hawk War, according to the 1882 Histories of Bond and Montgomery County Illinois, it also said he was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Jane's husband remarried on the 20 November 1844, Nancy I. Westee, after Jackson Vollintine died, his second wife Nancy, married, John Murphy, and they had two children; John and Rosetta Murphy.
