Leslie Elbert Holcomb, 89, of Cardwell, Mo., passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.
He was born March 14, 1922 in Cardwell, the son of the late Luther and Ida Toombs Holcomb.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jackson Holcomb; sisters, Bonnie Miller, Lurlie Todd and Alma Jackson, and a brother, Harold Holcomb.

Leslie was a graduate of Cardwell High School where he was a three letter athlete. He was a retired farmer and attended Buck Donic Assembly of God for most of his life, rarely missing a service. He has resided at the Rector Nursing Home in Rector, Ark., for the last five years of his life. Leslie was a World War II Navy veteran, and avid Cardinal fan and duck hunter.

Survivors include his brother, Vernon Holcomb, of Paragould and 16 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., Thursday, April 21, at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.

His life will be celebrated at a graveside service at 1:30 p.m., in the Cardwell Cemetery, Thursday, April 21, with Brother William Allen officiating.

Pallbearers are Douglas Beliew, Clint Beliew, Travis Cude, John Dillon, Matt Jackson, and Dennis Risinger.
