Kelly Pendergrass, 43, died Tuesday in Newton. He was a native of Bulloch County, a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church, and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Pendergrass, Newton; four sons, Carlos Grant, Egypt, U.S. Army; and Terry Pendergrass, Ron Pendergrass and Kelly Pendergrass Jr., all of Newton; four sisters, Dora Mae Walker, Christine Brown and Shirley Young, all of Statesboro, and Aletha Marand, Register; and two brothers, Alonzo Pendergrass, Pehokee, Fla., and Robert Pendergrass, Statesboro.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. C. C. Reddick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
