Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Long Pendergrass of Long Island; two daughters, Miss Wanda Pendergrass of Long Island and Miss Cletis Lee of Brooklet; a foster daughter, Miss June Cheeks of Atlanta; his father, Monday Pendergrass of Statesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Arethia Murant of Register, Mrs. Dora Walker of Statesboro and Mrs. Shirley Young of Pehokee, Fla.; and two brothers, Alonza Pendergrass of Pehokee and Sgt. Kelly Pendergrass of Albany.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Payton's Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
