Maurine Bobbit Reed, 85, of Caldwell, died Sunday, March 29, 1992, of cancer at the home of her daughter in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday April 3, 1992, at the Caldwell Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3015 S. Kimball Ave., Caldwell. Bishop Darrell Christensen of the Caldwell 4th Ward will conduct the services. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.

Maurine and her twin sister, Lorine, were born June 4, 1906, in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Clarence Bobbit and Margret Rebeca Shaklin. She married Harold Arthur Reed in 1923, and moved with him to California, Arkansas and Oregon. Eventually settling in Caldwell in 1938. Harold died in 1971. Maurine was a member of the Caldwell 4th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had been an active member and officer in both Veterans of Foreign Wars and Veterans of WWI Auxiliary.

She is survived by a sister, Fern Cullins of Las Cruses, New Mexico; a brother Arthur Bobbit of Oklahoma City; her children and spouses, Don and Leora Reed of Bountiful, Utah, Pat and Zane Eddins of Montiview, ID, Leretta and August Hill of McCall, ID, Pearl and Elray Pedersen, and Ron and Christina Reed all of Caldwell; 18 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous attentive nieces and nephews.
