Services for Alta M. Ford, 95, were at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Jared and Gene Spillman officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home.
She died Nov. 4 at Alfalfa County Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1892, in Anthony, Kan. As a young child, she moved with her family to Cleo Springs and later to a farm near Beaver.
On Oct. 16, 1910, she married N.A. Ford. They moved to Cherokee in 1922. She was a housewife and a retired Avon representative, working for the company for 21 years. During World War II, she was a Red Cross Home Extension agent.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Homebuilders Sunday School Class and Cherokee Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son, Wayne of Medicine Lodge, Kan; two daughters, Norma Gibson of Cherokee and Ruth Brown of Helena; a brother, Arthur Bobbitt of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Twila Wompler and Maurine Reed, both of Caldwell, Idaho, and Fern Cullis of Las Cruces, N.M.; six grandchildren; 14 great-granchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband died Feb. 8, 1949.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Arthritis Foundation.
